Ferro nickel electrode for welding all grades of cast iron for machinable deposit

Major applications:
An ideal electrode with outstanding weldability for welding of nodular cast iron malleable cast iron, grey cast iron arcs where high strength and ductility are required and yet deposits must be machinable. Welding of engine blocks, cast iron gears, sliding tables, cylinder heads & heavy machine base. Outstanding feature of this electrode is that it will have minimal base metal penetration and dilution.

Ni, Fe

Mechanical properties:
UTS -330-400 n/Sq mm
Hardness -150-190 BRINELL

Properties:
Electrode with excellent welding characteristics. It provides better crack resistance due to low expansion of weld deposit. Weldment capable withstanding high water or air pressure.

Procedure:
Clean weld area of all scales, grease and dirt. Use short to medium arc at minimum amperage. De-slag every bead and peen the weld to reduce residual stresses.
